Whether you live in the Kingsbury District or are planning a visit, stop by often to discover our latest offerings.
To provide water and sewer service, and maintain
roads and drainage systems in an efficient, courteous
and accountable manner, for the long term benefit
of our customers, in accordance with standards set
for public health, safety and the environment.
Kingsbury GID is located on the South shore of Lake Tahoe, adjacent to the casinos in Stateline Nevada.
Through the District is easy access to one of the premier ski resorts in the USA, Heavenly Valley plus an array of bike paths and hiking trails. Because of the proximity to this ski resort, there are many timeshares and vacation rental properties in the area.
A five person elected Board of Directors governs Kingsbury General Improvement District. These Directors determine the policies and set the agenda for the District. The Board appoints a General Manager who oversees the day-to-day operations of the District.
In addition, The Board forms special citizen advisory committees when complicated issues need more community outreach or focused study.
Office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Closed from noon to 12:30 pm for lunch.
KGID staff and supports many shared partnerships like The Tahoe Water Suppliers Association, Pathway 2007, The Nevada Firesafe Council, The Nevada Stormwater Association and The Lake Tahoe Wastewater Infrastructure Partnership.
